June 26 2010

This week I went out with Malani, Tim & Austin. We arrived at 6:20pm and left about 8:40pm. Me and Malani split up and Tim & Austin spilt up. My first conversation was with a female ordained minister in the SBC. She passed the are you a good persons test and appeared to be a saved born again believer. I then asked her what she thought of 1 Tim 2-3, & 1 Cor 14 on Women pastors. But she did not want to talk about it. Then a little later we had a 30 M conversation with a David whom was a Buddhist. He did not want to believe and repent and so we left it for God. The sad reality is that he also was not interested in evidences and did not want to read any apologetic book or tract I could give him. Then sometime later we spoke with two muslim ladies. I challenged them with evidences and if they could provide some to substantiate their faith but they provided none and claimed, Christianity had none to prove itself true. I wanted to mail them a apologetic book by John McDowell or Lee Strobel on the evidences that make the Christian faith true, but they did not wish to look at the evidences and so we left. We concluded the night by me street preaching. Besides those that rejected the gospel, there was many youth that loved the Livign Waters tract that I was passing out, and I gave gospel of John’s to some sincere listeners that said they would read them and appeared to have an interest in doing so. Therefore, lots and lots of seeds were planted by way of tracts and gospels that we passed out tonight.

June 19 2010

I first arrived about 8pm and began to pass out tracts and engage the lost in conversation. I met some Christians at first. Then a little later ran into Houston and his friend of Becometheway.com. They are excited about street evangelism (especially a ministry that targets the homeless). They video’d me and plan to use a clip or so for their introduction video, which I look forward to seeing. Then after passing out a number of tracts I met a man Frank. I walked him through the commandments and Frank knew he was a sinner and needed to be saved. Frank knew that he was a liar, a thief, and someone that deserves Hell. I gave Frank a gospel tract and unfortunately, as we were getting deeper into the conversation someone stopped Frank. But he has the gospel tract and a seed was planted in his life. Then after Frank, I met Savannah and I gave her a gospel of John, which she gladly accepted. I could not have much of a conversation with her (as she was busy working) but a seed was planted in her life. Then about a half hour later spoke with a Lauren and her boyfriend Clay. Unfortunately, Lauren & Clay were perfect examples of culture Christianity. Lauren knew nothing of the way of salvation, where she would go when she died, yet claimed to be a professing Christian. I sternly challenged her if that were the case she would have known what I asked. I challenged her to get right with God before it was too late, as judgment will be harsh on those that have rejected the Lord. I gave Lauren a gospel of John, which she said she would read. Then as I was about to leave had a 5 minute or so conversation with a Jill. I gave her the gospel and planted a seed in her life.

I first met a Eveyln and a Tom whom are both Christians. Tom is a stroke victim and I prayed for Tom and Eveyln. Then a little later had a long conversation with Jay Belanger and his friends Cory & Brandon. Jay was interested in the gospel and I was able to persuade him a little. I later mailed him the book “One Heartbeat Away” and he should be getting it soon. I finished the night by passing out some 500 tracts, & 8 gospel of John’s. I had a number of conversations with Christians and unbelievers.

June 4 2010

The first man I approached was sitting down at one of the tables in the DT area. He had a beard, long hair, and was smoking. I gave him a tract, and he said he was from Tabernacle Baptist. Then he outright said that I was not a Christian because I did not shave, and was not dressed like a Christian. I tried to reason with him, but it did not go well, and he boasted of being a member of a Satanist Church in California. He cussed me out, and was very abusive and mean, and so I left. The next man I spoke with for about a half hour “Drake” a Clemson University student majoring in Philosophy. Drake was quite intellectual, and claimed to have read the Bible cover to cover multiple times. Drake claimed to be a pluralist, and although had an intellectual knowledge of God, just could not grapple with the point that Christ is the only way to Heaven (Jn 14:6, Ac 4:12). I tried to reason with him, and he was unable to believe. I left him with a tract and will pray that he will get saved one day. Then after passing out tracts for a while I ran into a Gene of Greenville Christian Fellowship who greatly encouraged me to continue doing what I was doing. Then a few minutes later ran into my old evangelism friend Kendel. I passed out tracts for another hour or two and left a little after 10pm.
